A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Benefits Associate Attorney to join their Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation group in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in benefits, including qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and executive and deferred compensation arrangements. Experience in M&A, ERISA litigation, and withdrawal liability is advantageous. Duties

  • Advise on qualified retirement plans and health & welfare plans.
  • Handle executive and deferred compensation arrangements.
  • Support benefits and compensation in M&A transactions.
  • Assist in ERISA litigation and withdrawal liability matters.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of benefits experience in private practice.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Valid authorization to work in the U.S.
