Attorney II needed for Spokane office

Job Overview: A law firm in Spokane, WA, seeks an Attorney II with 4-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong mediation and trial experience, proficient in legal research and writing, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. The attorney will manage multiple cases, perform due diligence, market firm services, and actively engage in brand expansion.

Duties:

• Mediation experience
• Trial experience
• Researching and analyzing complex legal issues
• Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other documents
• Marketing personal and firm services to prospective clients
• Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information
• Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, and mergers and acquisitions
• Managing a schedule for consults and closure to meet production/collection objectives
• Closing consults within the firm's range of 30-50%
• Timely approval of invoices critical to business health on a monthly cycle
• Ensure support staff are fully utilized and productive
• Accurately updating client information in the case management system
• Sharing work tasks with other attorneys and support staff when over-subscribed
• Actively engaging in brand expansion through blogs, social media, and organization participation
• Seeking positive comments and reviews from successful client engagements
• Communicating and advising clients
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
• Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to the WA Bar
• 4-6 years of experience as an attorney
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
• Excellent legal research skills
