Bankruptcy and Restructuring Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Atlanta, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a strong preference for New York and possess excellent academic credentials, along with superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Duties

• Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, investors, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters.
• Handle Chapter 11 proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed M&A transactions.
• Engage in creditor negotiations across various industries.
• Participate in distressed asset sales and acquisitions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a law firm or similar environment.
• Exposure to distressed investing, private credit, and capital solutions.
• Ability to navigate complex subject matter quickly and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the jurisdiction of intended practice.
