A law firm seeks an experienced civil litigation attorney to join their team as a Senior Associate or Junior Partner in Charlotte, North Carolina. Duties

  • Represent clients in civil disputes, including collections, construction litigation, and landlord-tenant matters.
  • Manage a caseload with minimal supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as pleadings and motions.
  • Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes amicably.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff for seamless case management.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, including networking events.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • 2-10 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation abilities.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload.
  • Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.
  • Experience in business development is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)
