Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Remote Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel to join their team. This position is available nationwide in any state where the firm maintains an office, including White Plains, NY. The role involves handling pre-litigation matters such as demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.

Duties

  • Independently respond to demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.
  • Assess claims and provide analysis to clients and carriers.
  • Engage in direct client and carrier contact for response handling.
  • Participate in settlement activities, including attending mediations.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Development team to deliver work products to clients.
  • Complete client and firm-related administrative tasks.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Admission to the CA state bar and compliance with ethical requirements.
  • Good standing with the bar.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in California employment litigation for Associate role.
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience for Of Counsel role, with first chair capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, balance competing demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication, legal research, and drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
