Job Title:
Real Estate Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a detail-oriented associate to support a range of high-value commercial property transactions. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside senior legal professionals on transactions involvingthe  acquisition, disposition, leasing, and financing of diverse real estate assets. The role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in real estate or financing law who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Prepare, revise, and manage transaction-related legal documents

  • Support due diligence processes by coordinating and reviewing client and third-party responses

  • Conduct legal analysis of title documentation and address associated issues

  • Assist with all aspects of closing procedures, including coordination with external parties

  • Engage in direct communication with clients, lenders, and opposing counsel as needed

  • Contribute to the structuring and negotiation of commercial leases and financing arrangements

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice in New York State, or the ability to gain admission via reciprocity

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate law or comparable transactional work

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to a diverse audience

  • High attention to detail and organization

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active New York State Bar membership or eligibility for admission

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and interpreting real estate agreements and financial documents

  • Familiarity with the title and survey review

  • Strong analytical thinking and legal research skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Professionalism in managing client relationships
