Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Employment Law Practice Group in Portland, Maine. This hybrid position involves advising clients and handling litigation matters for regional and national clients. Duties

• Advise and counsel clients on employment law compliance and best practices.
• Handle litigation matters in state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in NH, ME, or MA, or anticipated within 6-12 months.
• 2-5 years of litigation experience, ideally within employment law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education
