Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a junior to mid-level associate attorney to join its Structured Finance practice group. This position, offered through a legal recruiting partner, involves advising clients on over-the-counter derivatives and complex structured finance arrangements. The role provides the opportunity to work on high-value transactions and regulatory matters in a hybrid work environment, offering growth in both technical proficiency and legal strategy.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate documentation under the ISDA Master Agreement, including Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, and Confirmations

  • Interpret and apply regulatory protocols such as the ISDA Dodd-Frank protocols

  • Advise clients on compliance issues related to derivatives and structured financial products

  • Conduct legal research and analyze applicable laws and regulations

  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and external stakeholders

  • Contribute to the preparation and review of transactional documentation

  • Meet internal deadlines and manage concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment

  • Ensure legal work product meets professional and firm quality standards

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in derivatives and structured finance

  • Prior experience in a large law firm environment is preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise in ISDA documentation and regulatory protocols

  • Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar admission in Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Sharp analytical and legal reasoning abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective organizational and time management competencies

  • Detail-oriented with sound business judgment

  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
