Job Title: Professional Support Lawyer

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Washington, D.C. seeks an experienced legal professional to serve as an Antitrust Knowledge and Innovation Specialist. This hybrid role focuses on advancing the firm’s antitrust practice through thought leadership, legal knowledge management, attorney training, and collaboration on business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of antitrust law, including litigation and transactional elements, with specific experience related to merger control and developments under the Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Act.

Duties:

Legal and Industry Monitoring

  • Track key developments in antitrust law and business landscapes

  • Identify emerging legal and regulatory trends to inform strategy

  • Spearhead innovative projects enhancing client-facing services

Thought Leadership and Content Creation

  • Draft and coordinate timely client alerts, articles, webinars, and other media

  • Lead initiatives such as a proprietary merger trends tracker and compliance updates

  • Develop content that elevates the firm’s profile in antitrust circles

Attorney Training and Legal Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter resource for attorneys on antitrust matters

  • Develop and update internal practice materials, including precedent libraries and model documents

  • Plan and deliver training programs on regulatory changes, HSR compliance, and procedural best practices

  • Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and internal education initiatives for associates

Client-Facing Presentations and External Engagement

  • Support compliance presentations and client briefings on current antitrust issues

  • Attend relevant industry events to promote practice visibility

  • Develop internal guides based on external interactions and regulatory updates

Marketing and Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to maintain accurate matter profiling

  • Provide customized content for client proposals and pitch documents

  • Highlight experience and capabilities to support business generation

Knowledge Infrastructure and Firmwide Collaboration

  • Drive adoption of knowledge-sharing platforms and innovation tools

  • Engage in global knowledge projects to strengthen firmwide capabilities

  • Attend internal knowledge and support team meetings to share updates

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in antitrust law, with litigation and/or transaction exposure

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate complex legal insights clearly

  • Proven capacity for managing projects independently and collaboratively

  • Adaptability and initiative in implementing legal innovation strategies

  • Proficient in legal research tools and comfortable with leveraging new technologies, including AI

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (DC Bar admission preferred)

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting and analytical capabilities

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Effective mentoring and training abilities

  • The business-oriented mindset with commercial awareness
