Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join the Securities and Capital Markets Group in New York City, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary practice, engaging closely with shareholders and participating in business development and client-facing activities.

Duties

  • Collaborate with team members on corporate, securities, and capital markets transactions.
  • Engage in debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance and reporting.
  • Participate in business development and client-facing activities.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A at an AM Law 100 firm.
  • Strong transactional skills and experience with debt and equity offerings.
  • Experience with SEC compliance and reporting; securitizations and aviation clients experience is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admitted and in good standing in Illinois, New York, District of Columbia, or Florida.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects.
