Senior Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in New York City, NY. This role involves legal advocacy across various jurisdictions in the United States, focusing on writing-intensive assignments in Federal District Courts and Courts of Appeals, as well as advocacy in administrative hearings.

Duties

• Draft and review pleadings, discovery demands, motion papers, and legal memoranda.
• Prepare and present oral arguments in District Courts and/or Courts of Appeals.
• Appear in special education administrative hearings.
• Prepare staff attorneys for court appearances.

Requirements

• Admission to New York State Bar and SDNY/EDNY.
• At least seven years of litigation experience in the United States, including SDNY/EDNY.
• Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications
