Senior Associate or Lateral Attorney for Commercial Banking

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Lateral Attorney for its downtown Minneapolis, MN office to join the commercial banking practice group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial banking transactions, including drafting and negotiating complex loan documentation and reviewing due diligence materials.

Duties

• Advise on complex financial transactions and oversee loan document drafting.
• Review due diligence materials for real estate and asset-based lending transactions.
• Negotiate and manage construction lending and financing for land development.
• Provide expertise in affordable housing tax credit lending.

Requirements

• Seven plus years of substantive experience in commercial banking transactions.
• Deep understanding of banking, finance, real estate, and regulatory laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Licensed to practice law in MN.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar license in Minnesota.
