Corporate Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level corporate associate for its Washington, DC office. The role involves working on mid-market M&A transactions, joint ventures, and debt and equity finance transactions across various industries, including beverage & food, lodging and hospitality, digital media, and banking and financial services.

Duties

• Engage in M&A transactions, joint ventures, and equity finance.
• Coordinate with specialists and work on deal teams of varying sizes.
• Draft principal transaction documents, ancillaries, and resolutions.
• Communicate complex concepts in a targeted and commercially focused manner.

Requirements

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with debt finance documents is helpful.
• Strong analytical skills and dedication to high-quality work.
• Licensed and in good standing in DC or eligible to waive into the DC bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in DC or eligibility to waive in.
