Associate Attorney - Foreclosure

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will collaborate with attorneys and support staff across multiple offices, managing a diverse caseload independently. The ideal candidate is licensed in Louisiana and has a minimum of three years of experience in foreclosure, title, or financial services.

Duties

• Review documentation for compliance with state and federal law.
• Draft and review pleadings and case-related documents.
• Evaluate files and provide legal opinions.
• Identify and resolve title issues through litigation or non-litigated means.
• Advise clients on file-level scenarios.
• Manage deadlines and dockets independently.
• Represent clients at hearings.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and vendors.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the LA State Bar.
• 3+ years of experience in foreclosure, title, or financial services.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership with the LA State Bar.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and internet research.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
• Familiarity with case and document management software.
