Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Attorney for Bankruptcy Creditor Rights in New Orleans, LA. The successful candidate will oversee legal aspects of creditor rights in bankruptcy law, providing high-quality counsel and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines. This is an in-office position.

Duties

  • Provide sound legal advice to clients and manage the title department on curative matters.
  • Monitor compliance with Client Attorney Agreements.
  • Prepare comprehensive title reporting with resolution strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and extensive due diligence.
  • Review and examine real estate title searches related to the LA Foreclosure process.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records in case management systems.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • Previous experience as a Legal Counsel.
  • Knowledge of real estate title.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with legal and title paralegals.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA).
