Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Non-Equity Partner for their New York office to lead and manage civil construction litigation matters, focusing on personal injury and some property damage claims. The role involves handling cases independently, supervising junior associates, and maintaining direct client and carrier relationships with consistent, timely communication.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a full caseload of construction litigation insurance defense matters.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior attorneys.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients and insurance carriers.
• Ensure high-quality, timely case handling and reporting.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in civil construction litigation insurance defense.
• Active New York Bar admission (required).
• Strong ability to independently manage cases without supervision.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Substantial trial experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
