Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate or Special Counsel with a focus on lender-side work to join their growing Real Estate Department in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have at least six years of law firm experience and a strong background in representing lenders in commercial real estate loans.

Duties

  • Represent lenders in commercial real estate loan transactions.
  • Focus at least 60% of time on lender-side work.
  • Collaborate with team members to support department growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six years of law firm experience.
  • Significant experience in commercial real estate loans.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
