A law firm seeks a passionate and dedicated Personal Injury Attorney with 1-6 years of experience to join its dynamic legal team in New York City. This role involves advocating for clients who have suffered injuries due to accidents, negligence, or malpractice. The ideal candidate will be eager to handle all stages of personal injury cases, from initial consultation through trial, working closely with clients to ensure they receive the best possible representation.

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and medical malpractice claims.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses to build strong cases.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and legal options.
  • Work closely with expert witnesses, including medical professionals and accident reconstruction specialists.
  • Conduct legal research on relevant laws, precedents, and case strategies.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to prepare cases for trial.

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of experience in personal injury law, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to handle cases from inception to resolution, including trial experience.

Education:
