Auto Torts/Insurance Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm in Myrtle Beach is seeking an Auto Torts/Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be licensed to practice in the state of South Carolina and possess superior verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. They should have demonstrated abilities to work directly with clients, develop service strategies, and handle personal injury and property damage actions in South Carolina State and Federal courts, specifically auto and trucking related tort actions.

Duties:

• Handle defense of personal injury and property damage actions, focusing on auto and trucking related tort actions.
• Manage an independent case load from inception through trial.
• Interpret laws and apply them to specific situations.
• Ethically represent clients and advise them on their legal rights and obligations.
• Effectively interact with clients, outside vendors, and the Court(s) as necessary.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina.
• 1-3 years of auto torts experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage an independent case load.
• Ability to handle cases from inception through trial.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in the state of South Carolina.
