Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join its office in Mount Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 8 years of experience representing healthcare facilities and providers across various medical specialties. This role offers an opportunity to develop advanced courtroom skills and participate in trials.

Duties

  • Research and interpret facts and law in complex litigation cases.
  • Perform analysis and provide opinions impacting clients.
  • Research and prepare legal memoranda on diverse issues.
  • Draft correspondence in response to client and official inquiries.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances and hearings.
  • Prepare and enter daily time entries.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in medical malpractice.
  • NJ Bar admission required; additional Bar admissions are a plus.
  • Litigation experience required; trial experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for professional interactions with court officials and attorneys.
  • Ability to generate new clients through networking and marketing.
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
