Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dynamic and self-starting Immigration Attorney in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will manage an immigration law caseload and supervise two paralegals, demonstrating a commitment to providing exceptional legal representation.

Duties

  • Prepare and submit filings for USCIS, DOS, and EOIR.
  • Conduct hearings before EOIR.
  • Perform records searches under FOIA and conduct background checks.
  • Provide co-counseling assistance to other attorneys.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients.
  • Review open cases for proper recordkeeping.
  • Participate in departmental meetings.
  • Establish positive relationships with clients and court personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant legal experience in immigration law.
  • Experience with USCIS and EOIR cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Flexible work schedule capability.
  • Ability to manage a diverse docket with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic and accountability.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Excellent attendance record.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the United States.
