Job Overview

Duties

  • Develop an expert-level understanding of client industries and firm services.
  • Formulate case strategies, including research, drafting, and client counseling.
  • Communicate with clients and foreign nationals on procedural and case issues.
  • Support immigration program management and compliance for clients.
  • Assess eligibility for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status.
  • Prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents based on established precedents.
  • Conduct research to support client requests and projects.
  • Supervise junior associates and staff, providing mentoring and coaching.
  • Seek opportunities to improve processes and services.
  • Contribute to team meetings and firmwide activities.

Requirements

  • U.S. JD or LLM required.
  • Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington DC bar association.
  • 2-3 years of experience at the Associate level.
  • Strong understanding of immigration law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM).

Certifications

  • Bar membership in a U.S. State or Washington DC.

Skills

  • Exceptional client service dedication.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using firm technology and protocols.
