Job Overview

Duties

  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings to protect their interests.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to progress cases efficiently.
  • Consult with potential clients to assess their needs and determine steps.
  • Manage cases to ensure timely advancement in legal matters.
  • Conduct quality reviews for adherence to case law and clarity.
  • Handle division of marital assets during divorce proceedings.
  • Develop strategies based on thorough analysis of client needs.
  • Maintain organized and updated client files.
  • Attend court hearings to provide effective client representation.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of family law experience and an NC Law License.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in stressful situations.
  • Experience with billing and tracking billable time on cases.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and organized with a willingness to travel locally.
  • Proactive self-starter with creative problem-solving abilities.

Education

  • 4-year degree with a legal background.
  • J.D. degree required.

Certifications

  • NC Law License.
