Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team in the Nashville, TN area. The role involves managing the intake and substantiation of new claims, reviewing and signing pleadings, and potentially attending court hearings. The candidate should possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and work well both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in computer use and electronic legal research is essential. A valid Tennessee state license is required, with additional licensure in Georgia, Mississippi, or Alabama considered advantageous.

Duties

  • Intake and substantiate new claims from clients.
  • Review and sign pleadings and correspondence.
  • Participate in developing case strategies.
  • Research and interpret laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree (J.D) with 0-3 years of experience.
  • Valid state licensure to practice law in Tennessee.
  • Licenses in Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama are a plus.
  • Willingness to obtain additional licensures is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree (J.D).

Certifications

  • Valid Tennessee state law license.
