Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Attorney in Hartford, Connecticut. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring a minimum of three days in-office per week. The role involves managing personal injury cases from inception through trial, with a focus on delivering outstanding results for clients.

Duties

  • Manage a personal injury caseload from pre-suit through litigation.
  • Conduct case evaluations and develop litigation strategies.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Draft and argue motions.
  • Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
  • Prepare cases for trial and serve as trial counsel when necessary.
  • Work closely with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, and insurance carriers.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to maximize case outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate case management records and meet all litigation deadlines.

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts Bar license required.
  • Connecticut Bar admission is a plus but not required.
  • Minimum three years of personal injury experience.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Experience handling motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and other personal injury matters.
  • Strong negotiation, litigation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Client-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts.
