Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with expertise in health care and life sciences to join its team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of relevant experience and a strong background in health care fraud and abuse laws.

Duties

  • Conduct government investigations and witness interviews.
  • Perform legal research and analyze complex evidence.
  • Manage document reviews and write briefs and investigative reports.
  • Draft pleadings and prepare and argue motions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of health care fraud and abuse laws, including the False Claims Act, Antikickback Statute, and Stark Law.
  • Solid litigation experience in civil and criminal law.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey, New York, or Washington, D.C.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one of the specified jurisdictions.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficient in managing complex legal documents.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
