Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Business Litigation Associate to join its Washington, DC office. The firm handles complex business disputes and white-collar matters nationwide.

Duties

• Participate in government and internal investigations.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions in court.
• Manage large, complex discovery processes.
• Engage in business development efforts.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in litigation related to white-collar investigations and complex business disputes.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Federal clerkship experience preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for immediate licensing in Washington, DC; Maryland and/or Virginia bar is a plus.
• Must be located in the Washington, DC area.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Washington, DC.

Skills

• Researching and drafting motions and memoranda.
• Participation in internal investigations.
• Preparation of deposition outlines and exhibits.
• Motion practice and discovery coordination.
• Understanding of civil and criminal procedure.
