A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking an Associate Attorney with strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with the team, clients, and other attorneys. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and prioritization skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
  • Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with clients, team members, and other attorneys orally and in writing.
  • Attend meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as required.
  • Assist in case strategy development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case-related tasks.
  • Manage case files and documentation in an organized manner.
  • Handle administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and sensitive legal matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
  • Prior law firm experience preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission by waiver.
