Municipal Associate

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Municipal Associate in Los Angeles, CA, with 5-7 years of transactional municipal experience to join their Public Law team. The candidate will advise public agency clients and manage various municipal matters.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate public works contracts and other municipal documents.
• Advise on compliance with public contracting and open meeting laws.
• Prepare staff reports, resolutions, and ordinances.
• Attend and present at city council and board meetings.
• Assist with procurement processes, including RFPs and bid documents.
• Collaborate on land use, real estate, and regulatory compliance matters.

Requirements

• Significant experience advising public agency clients on transactional matters.
• Excellent writing, research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage matters independently and interface with public officials.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
