Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated attorney with 2-to-5 years of experience to join the Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience with public agencies and a keen interest in public agency law or public service.

Duties

  • Collaborate with a team to provide legal services to public agencies.
  • Engage in legal research and writing for various public agency matters.
  • Advise clients on compliance with California's open meeting laws and other relevant statutes.
  • Participate in public speaking engagements and client meetings.

Requirements

  • 2-to-5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience with public agencies, including cities and special districts.
  • Strong writing and research skills.
  • Superior public speaking ability.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California State Bar.
