A law firm seeks a Worker's Compensation Associate Attorney for their Tampa, FL location. This position entails:

Job Overview:

  • Provide legal representation to clients in workers' compensation defense cases.
  • Handle various aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing parties.
  • Demonstrate high energy and capacity for handling caseload efficiently.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Attend hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals on case strategy and management.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in worker's compensation defense.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar in good standing.
  • Proven track record of success in litigating workers' compensation cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and court procedures related to workers' compensation.
