Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate to join its team in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate will be a 3rd-4th year associate with experience in labor and employment litigation.

Duties

  • Handle temporary restraining order and temporary injunction expedited relief proceedings.
  • Manage trade secret misappropriation and noncompete litigation.
  • Conduct wage and hour class action litigation and union negotiations.
  • Provide advice and counseling on OSHA matters.
  • Engage in single plaintiff employment litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
  • Participate in trial preparation and settlement conferences.

Requirements

  • Strong legal writing skills.
  • Experience with discovery and motion practice.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, collegial environment.
  • Demonstrated client relationship and business development skills.
  • Top academic credentials.

Education

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
  • Timely admission to the Bar of the hiring office's state required.
