Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Transactional Attorney in Baltimore, MD, to handle various transactional matters for homebuilder and developer clients. This role involves forming and maintaining homeowners' and condominium associations, preparing homebuyer disclosure documents, and engaging in community development matters while maintaining significant client contact.

Duties

  • Represent homebuilders and developers regarding homeowner, condominium, and community associations.
  • Prepare, record, and file organizational documents for associations.
  • Draft and record easements, maintenance agreements, and similar instruments.
  • Review and recommend modifications to existing association documents.
  • Analyze plats, plans, titles, and due diligence documents for association documentation.
  • Review and analyze contract provisions related to associations.
  • Draft and finalize retail sales disclosure packages and addenda.
  • Prepare and analyze declarations for deferred charges.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant statutes and perform legal research.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • License to practice law in Maryland or eligibility to become licensed.
  • Minimum of 4 years of transactional experience in relevant areas preferred.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting contracts and legal documents.
  • Experience in researching land and business records.
  • Analytical skills for complex legal analysis.
  • Interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and staff.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

  • Bar admission in Maryland or ability to obtain.
