Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior-level attorney to join its Real Estate practice in Baltimore, Maryland. The successful candidate will have significant experience in handling sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and will be prepared to assume substantial responsibility in a busy and growing transactional practice.

Duties

  • Work directly with partners and clients on complex commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.
  • Lead title, survey, lease, zoning, and diligence review.
  • Coordinate closings and manage transaction teams.
  • Assist clients in evaluating and resolving legal and business issues.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong background in acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.
  • Comfortable drafting and negotiating various transaction documents.
  • Experience with diverse real estate matters is strongly preferred.

Education

  • J.D. is required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Maryland or Virginia is preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong academic credentials and good interpersonal judgment.
  • Ability to manage transactions efficiently and independently.
  • Confidence in interacting with clients and other transaction participants.
