Job Overview

A law firm seeks a seasoned Environmental Attorney to join its Environmental and Water Practice Group in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in regulatory and contested case hearings. This role offers flexibility, with options for full-time or part-time engagement, and potential for partnership track based on the candidate's portable book of business.

Duties

  • Counsel clients on federal and state environmental laws.
  • Advise on air, water, and waste permit procurement and represent clients in related hearings.
  • Negotiate water and wastewater agreements for developers.
  • Represent clients in water and wastewater CCN matters before the PUC.
  • Advise on regulatory investigations and represent clients in enforcement cases.

Requirements

  • Seven-plus years of relevant legal experience.
  • Significant experience in regulatory and contested case hearings.
  • Portable book of business preferred for full-time consideration.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
