Innovation Attorney, Litigation & IP

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney for its Litigation and IP business units in Washington, DC, with consideration for 100% remote locations within the US. The role supports the firm's innovation efforts to enhance legal service delivery through people, process, and technology.

Duties

• Lead projects to optimize client service delivery and increase efficiencies.
• Coordinate and support projects to streamline legal service delivery.
• Integrate technology, including generative AI, into legal practice.
• Serve as a resource for practice resource questions and issues.
• Develop and improve client-facing solutions and practice content.
• Educate legal professionals on practice content and technology initiatives.
• Maintain case studies for marketing and business development.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience as a litigation or IP attorney in a large law firm.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage workflows.
• Familiarity with legal technology and AI opportunities.
• Excellent analytical and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a sizable bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable-hour levels above 1,950.
