Litigation Attorney

Job Overview
A law firm in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to support its civil litigation practice with a focus on healthcare reimbursement and coverage disputes. This role involves managing cases from inception through resolution, including motion practice, court appearances, and settlement negotiations. The position offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on complex regulatory and reimbursement-related litigation matters.

Duties

• Manage litigation matters from initial filing through final resolution
• Draft complaints, answers, and other pleadings
• Prepare and argue dispositive motions
• Develop litigation strategies for reimbursement and coverage disputes
• Conduct settlement negotiations and participate in dispute resolution processes
• Appear in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York
• Collaborate with team members on complex healthcare litigation matters
• Maintain communication with clients regarding case strategy and progress

Requirements

• At least 3 years of civil litigation experience
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and handle multiple matters
• Experience with healthcare litigation, insurance coverage, or reimbursement disputes preferred
• Admission to practice in New Jersey or New York, with both preferred
• Federal court admission in relevant jurisdictions preferred
• Strong analytical and writing skills

Education and Certifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the New Jersey and or New York State Bar
