Job Overview

A law firm seeks a healthcare attorney in Fair Lawn, NJ, with expertise in medical reimbursement and New Jersey PIP arbitration. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in applying the NJ PIP Fee Schedule and a desire to contribute to a growing niche practice.

Duties

  • Manage NJ PIP/No-Fault arbitration caseload from initial filing through arbitration.
  • Draft and submit appeals; conduct settlement negotiations.
  • Appear for remote arbitration hearings.
  • Collaborate with paralegals for filing and administrative support.
  • File NJ Workers' Compensation claims via NJ eCourts WC Portal.
  • Appear for virtual hearings and review adversary submissions.
  • Evaluate claims and make settlement offers.
  • Analyze and fee schedule NJ Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs).
  • Prepare and submit arbitration briefs; coordinate with paralegal staff.
  • Draft arbitration briefs for NY Commercial Arbitrations (Surprise Bill IDRs).
  • Assemble UCR evidence and create fee schedule comparison charts.
  • Communicate with clients for case input as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • NJ bar, active and in good standing (required); NY bar (preferred).
  • 2+ years of NJ PIP arbitration experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of the NJ PIP Fee Schedule.
  • Experience handling arbitration hearings and settlement negotiations.
  • Work onsite Monday-Friday in Fair Lawn office.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • NJ bar, active and in good standing.
  • NY bar (preferred).
