Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in New York, NY to join their litigation team. The successful candidate will work closely with a Senior Partner on a diverse caseload, including casualty defense, premises liability, and environmental liability. This role offers immediate hands-on experience, including depositions and court appearances, within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Manage discovery, including interrogatories and document review.
• Perform legal research and case analysis.
• Appear in New York courts as needed.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience in casualty defense, premises liability, or environmental liability.
• Active New York bar admission required; New Jersey bar admission a plus.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Detail-oriented self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
