Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in Washington, DC. The role involves working with a team of attorneys in the Renewable Energy group, engaging in diverse renewable energy projects, including project development, commercial transactions, and financing.

Duties

  • Assist in project development and transactional matters within the renewable energy sector.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements.
  • Collaborate with team members on mergers and acquisitions, financing, and real estate transactions.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with tax credit matters, including ITCs or PTCs, is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in the District of Columbia.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the District of Columbia or eligibility for admission without examination.

Skills

  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
