Associate - Business Transactions

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a business transactions associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its team in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate will work with regional, national, and multinational clients, primarily within the Mergers & Acquisitions practice. This role involves significant client interaction and managing transactions with the support of a collaborative team.

Duties

• Engage in buy- and sell-side acquisitions, dispositions, and recapitalizations.
• Participate in partnerships, joint ventures, and capital raising activities.
• Collaborate with cross-office teams on various corporate transactions.
• Maintain client relationships and manage transaction processes.

Requirements

• Experience in general corporate and commercial transactions, focusing on M&A.
• Solid knowledge of corporate law, including entity formation and governance.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and multiple projects.
• Experience in corporate governance, joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
• Private equity and/or capital markets experience is advantageous.
• General debt financing experience is a plus.
• Effective writing and oral communication skills.
• Admission to practice law in Texas.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
