Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Title and Survey Attorney for its New York, NY office. The role involves managing title and survey review and real estate due diligence for various transactions within the Real Estate practice.

Duties

• Review and summarize exceptions in title commitments.
• Identify and analyze title issues and finalize proformas.
• Coordinate flood due diligence and work with deal attorneys on solutions.
• Collaborate with title companies and third parties to complete diligence.
• Review commercial leases and prepare lease abstracts.
• Analyze zoning reports and negotiate acceptable versions for closing.
• Review commercial property purchase and sale agreements.
• Negotiate key due diligence items with counterparties.
• Supervise and review the work of junior attorneys.
• Manage timely completion of due diligence deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum six years of relevant experience in a law firm or title company.
• Experience with real estate transactions of varying sizes.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
