Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Irvine, California. This full-time, hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home part of the week. Duties

  • Represent clients in California Superior Courts and Federal Courts.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other filings.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Argue motions and appear at hearings and case management conferences.
  • Advise and communicate with clients regarding litigation strategy and case status.
  • Negotiate settlements and manage cases from inception to resolution.
  • Collaborate with peers and clients to secure favorable outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, court rules, and professional standards.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
  • 2-5 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with California and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; appellate experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
  • Motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple cases.
  • Demonstrated desire to grow as a litigator and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active California Bar membership.
