Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Settlement Attorney to join its team in Rockville, MD. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote and in-office work. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of work efficiently.

Duties

  • Collaborate with the title division and Notices team.
  • Maintain data integrity in the case management system.
  • Review titles and prepare notices of sale for legal sufficiency in MD foreclosure sales.
  • Manage a high volume portfolio with strict deadlines.
  • Address inquiries related to title and foreclosure sale notices.
  • Attend foreclosure sales as needed.

Requirements

  • Admission to the Maryland Bar; DC admission is a plus.
  • Experience in real estate settlements.
  • Ability to resolve title issues through litigation or negotiation is desired.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Real Estate Law preferred; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Maryland Bar.
