A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Rockville, MD. The role involves handling a caseload of litigated title curative matters, providing legal support to the title team, and ensuring compliance with client directives and state/federal law.

Duties

• Analyze legal issues and review strategies with Managing Attorney.
• Handle a caseload of litigated title curative matters.
• Provide legal support to the title team.
• Ensure timely updates to client systems and case management system.
• Prepare and review legal documents for compliance.
• Research and analyze statutes and judicial decisions.
• Draft foreclosure-related motions and pleadings.
• Review and analyze real estate law and title cases.
• Draft bankruptcy motions and other filings.
• Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
• Participate in trials at the state and federal level.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Must be MD barred; DC barred is a plus.
• Experience with banks or mortgage servicers is a plus.
• Experience in title curative matters or real estate litigation is preferred.
