A law firm seeks a Partner-level Land Use and Zoning Attorney to join their Connecticut practice in Greenwich, CT. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney with a strong network in the Connecticut real estate development and municipal community. The role involves expanding the firm's land use and zoning practice while collaborating with other practice areas.

Duties

  • Represent clients in land use, zoning, and permitting matters.
  • Lead client representation before municipal boards and regulatory agencies.
  • Advise on variances, special permits, site plan approvals, and entitlement strategies.
  • Maintain and grow a portable book of business and develop new client relationships.
  • Collaborate across practice groups to provide comprehensive client service.
  • Meet billable expectations and contribute to practice group growth.
  • Participate in mentoring junior attorneys and firm leadership activities.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing (New York admission a plus).
  • 7+ years of experience in land use and zoning law.
  • Demonstrated portable book of business.
  • Strong professional reputation within the Connecticut land use community.
  • Experience appearing before municipal land use boards and commissions.
  • Excellent advocacy, drafting, and client-management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
