Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Finance Associate with five to seven years of experience to join the Private Credit and Special Situations team in New York City, NY. The role involves working on complex debt financing transactions and offers opportunities in special situations and restructuring.

Duties

  • Work on acquisition financing for sponsor-backed companies in the middle market.
  • Handle term loan and working capital facilities.
  • Draft and review commitment letters and sponsor grids.
  • Manage unitranche facilities and intercreditor arrangements.
  • Represent clients in special situations and restructuring transactions.

Requirements

  • Admitted to the NY State Bar and in good standing.
  • Strong academic credentials and law firm experience.
  • Experience with distressed credit is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency in complex debt financing transactions.
  • Familiarity with leveraged finance and special situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
