Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm based in New York City is seeking a senior legal professional with substantial experience in fund financing and subscription line credit facilities. This role is available through a specialized legal recruiting firm on behalf of the hiring law firm. The position involves working with a dynamic finance practice known for handling sophisticated fund-level lending transactions across a diverse client base of institutional lenders and asset managers.

Duties:

• Advise financial institutions, direct lenders, and investment firms on structured finance transactions involving funds and private investment vehicles

• Lead core components of financing deals, including documentation, negotiations, and closing coordination

• Manage key workstreams across transaction lifecycles, from initial due diligence to execution

• Provide strategic guidance on leverage and credit structures during fund formation and post-closing scenarios

• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to address complex legal and regulatory concerns

• Stay informed on evolving market practices and financing structures across the fund finance space

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience focused on fund finance and subscription line credit arrangements

• Demonstrated ability to operate as a primary contact and driver of transactional progress

• Familiarity with both borrower and lender-side representations in private capital markets

• Prior experience in a top-tier law firm’s finance or fund formation practice is strongly preferred

• A deal sheet showcasing relevant transactions required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar, or eligibility for immediate admission

Skills:

• Strong command of fund-level lending structures and related documentation

• Ability to handle complex, high-volume transactions under tight timelines

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills

• Strategic thinking and a proactive, solution-oriented approach

Very much substance over form, this firm boasts international clientele and a sizable New York office without much fanfare of notoriety.
