Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate to join its Environmental and Natural Resources Group in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory matters.

Duties

  • Represent clients in environmental litigation in federal and state courts.
  • Handle a wide range of environmental regulatory defense and administrative enforcement matters.
  • Provide environmental regulatory, administrative enforcement, and transactional counseling.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on environmental legal issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently as needed.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and related California statutes.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

  • High level of academic achievement.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills

  • Exceptional research, analytical, interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for environmental law.
