Job Overview

A law firm seeks an ambitious mid- to senior-level attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join their Environment and Energy Practice and Insurance Recovery Teams in Clarence, New York. The role involves working with sophisticated clients across various industries, providing legal counsel on environmental issues and representing clients in legal proceedings.

Duties

  • Advise clients on environmental regulatory matters, including NEPA, CWA, CAA, ESA, and RCRA.
  • Engage in transactional, claims, and remediation/contamination-related legal work.
  • Represent clients before Congress, federal, and state agencies, and in court.
  • Collaborate with a team of lawyers and environmental engineers.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through direct contact and communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong communication, legal advocacy, and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • New York bar license required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.
